CARL L. BOKEMPER, 78, Deming resident passed away Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
Carl was born January 5, 1933 in Emerson, Nebraska to Viney Neoma Strivens and Benjamin John Bokemper. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean War. Carl worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a mechanic. He had been a Deming resident for 8 years coming from California. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and going fishing.
Carl is survived by his wife, Socorro Bokemper of the home; 2 daughters, Carla Bokemper of Texas, Rosemary Farshtey of California; 2 brothers, Charlie and Anton Bokemper; 7 sisters, Dolores McGuire, Maxine Peter, Virginia Jetsen, Shirley Carter, Joann Flemming, Bonnie Stecker, Diane Lorensen; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
