Carl Everett “Biggs” Butler, age 76, of Bailey Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

 

Born April 20, 1944, in Rowan County, Carl was the son of the late Frank and Ethel Spence Butler.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Glenna Kay Reynolds Butler in 2011, and one sister, Norma Jean Hileman.

 

He is survived by his wife, Judith Loomis Butler, and seven children:  Jeffrey Butler and wife Donna of Olive Hill; Frankie Butler and wife Jill; Allen Butler and significant other Cindy Sargent; Melissa Butler and significant other Jackie Smith; Linda McKinney and husband Terry, all of Morehead; Daniel Butler and wife Shawna of Clay City; and Brian Butler of Morehead.

 

Also surviving are grandchildren:  Ricky McKinney and significant other Jamie Johnson, Janessa Staton and husband Brent, Sara Butler, Latosha Lee and husband Billy, Hunter Butler; Montana Butler, Makayla Butler, Scarlett Butler, Briar Butler, Kaysen Butler, Lorielle Butler, Hope Pernell, Beulah Begly, Larry Butler, Aleisha Butler, Travis Butler, Kacy Butler, Bridget Ballou, Joseph Stapleton, Ryan Smith, Shaylan Ousley, Joise McClure, Wyatt McClure, Ashley Harris, and Megan Oldham; one niece, Paula Manning; and one nephew, Jimmy Hileman, as well as extended family and friends.

 

“Biggs,” as he was known by most of his co-workers, retired as a fork lift operator from Harold White Lumber Company in 1999.
