 Carl Benjamin, “CB” Kraska

Bay City, MI

 

Carl Benjamin “CB” Kraska, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the age of 77.  He was born on July 19, 1941 in Pinconning, MI to the late Anthony Peter Kraska and the late Hattie Helen (Kieltyka) Kraska.  He married the love of his life, Carolyn Frances Willett on August 28, 1965 sharing 53 years together.  He worked at Nichols-Foss Packing Company, Valley Roofing, American Brownhoist and General Motors, retiring from General Motors in 1996.  CB enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, woodworking, cooking, hunting, going on casino trips, playing guitar and banjo and most of all, spending time with his family.  He especially enjoyed cruising town in his 1931 Ford Model A that he purchased when he was 16 years old.

 

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Ronald, Kathryn (Robert) Pope, David (Jodi), grandchildren Emily Kraska, Morgan Pope, Taylor Kraska, Zoe Kraska, Corey Pierson, Mason Lumsden and Noah Pressler, great grandson Garrett Meyer, sister-in-law Susan Huggard, brother Edward Kraska, brother-in-law Eugene Lauria and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased in death by his sister Martha Lauria, father-in-law Calvin Willett Sr., mother-in-law Jean Willett, brother-in-law Calvin Willett Jr., and sister-in-law Sharon Kraska. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Brian’s House and Covenant Hospice Care for their loving and compassionate care.
