Candida “Candy” Oviedo, 57, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022 while in the care of Lehigh Valley Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Maribel Oviedo with whom she shared over 6 years of loving marriage. Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Gilberto Oviedo, Sr. and Marta Gotay. Candy was a strong and caring individual with a heart of gold. She loved singing and dancing, especially to salsa music. Candy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for all the love she showed to all throughout her life.
Survivors: In addition to her loving wife Maribel, she will be remembered by her daughters Marta Velez of New Haven, CT and Meilani Velez of Brooklyn, NY; granddaughter Charlotte Annabelle Martinez as well as many loving family members and friends.
