Calvin Mower Matheson, 85, of Troutman, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 21, 1931 in Iredell County to the late Robert Espy Matheson and Annie Belle Gilliand Matheson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Peggy Stevenson Matheson; son, Phil Matheson (Debbie); daughter, Cindy Coley; sister, Ruby Alexander; five grandchildren, Nichol, Shane, Scott, Angela and Chad; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Calvin is preceded in death by his son, Calvin Keith Matheson; son-in-law, Ronald Coley; sisters, Virginia Ladd and Judy Stewart, and brothers, Herman Matheson, Curtis Matheson, and Robert Matheson.
Calvin retired from Duke Power as a pipe fitter.
