“KIP” DUVALL, 89

LAKELAND – Calvin

“Kip” Duvall, 89, passed away on Dec. 15, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital

in Sayre, PA, after an extended illness. Kip was one of eleven children born to Belmer and Nancy (Sophia) Duvall in Beaver, OK. Kip retired from the Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, N.Y. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Ruth, moved to FL, to enjoy the warm winter months. Due to ill health, Kip had moved to PA, to live with his daughter and son-in-law Ella and Jack Belles. He was a U.S. WWII Army vet. and was awarded the Purple Heart during his tour of duty. He was a very active member of the VFW in Lakeland, FL, holding a number of offices. While

living in Tioga, PA, he was also a member of the American Legion. Kip was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; parents; son Donald Duvall; brothers Joe and Claxton; sisters Mary, Neva Jane, Lillie, Polly and Morena. He is survived by his children: sons Denzil (Linda) Duvall of Tyrone, OK, and Calvin Dean (Joann) Duvall of Dixonville, PA, daughters Lorraine Walker of Elkland, PA, Ella (Jack) Belles and Vinny (Scott) Snyder of Sayre, PA; his stepchildren Allen (Friederike) Benfield, IN, Darell Benfield, CA, Norman (Peggy) Benfield, GA, and Russell Benfield, FL. He is also survived by sisters Pearl Akers of Lake Charles, LA, and Beorgia Cantrell of El Paso, TX; brother Marion Henderson Duvall of Corpus Christi, TX, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
