Calvin Harris, age 70, adoring husband and loving father of two passed away at Backus Hospital in the evening hours of January 8th, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born in 1951 in Willimantic Connecticut and was known for his unmatched sense of humor accompanied with his infectious laugher and genuine smile. He was a 1969 graduate of Windham Regional technical school specializing in the automotive department. He actively participated in Drum and Bugle Corps in Willimantic and New London from 1967 to 1972. 

In 1988, he married the love of his life, Roselyn Harris under a cloudless sky on Valentines Day. He was employed at Norwich Hospital in the nursing department until his retirement due to disability. Although Calvin faced many physical challenges including 4 kidney transplants, it never stopped his warrior spirit from beating improbable odds while still remaining a kind, humble, and sincere man who was an inspiration to many.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother Stanley Harris Sr & Hannah Marshall Harris, and his brothers Stanley Harris Jr & Michael McAlister. He is survived by his sisters Marion Hatcher and Reatha Jenkins, his wife Roselyn and his two children Matthew and Sarah Harris as well as a host of loving family members and friends. He will live in our hearts and memories forever.
