Salem and Katherine Perrine Samples. C. M. Louise Buckhannon died Friday, November 5, 2010 at Hopemont State Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 9, 1929 in Volga, WV, a daughter of the late Carl and Katherine Perrine Sample One of eight children, she is survived by four brothers, Richard Samples of California; Jim Samples (wife, Josephine) of Salem; Ed Samples of Salem, and Joe Samples of West Milford; also a sister Jean Samples of Glenwood Hill in Clarksburg… She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and William Samples. She was married to the late Ross Buckhannon for 41 years. Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Carpenter of Elkins and Suzan Buckhannon and her fiance, Wendell Wolford of Bridgeport. Louise was a graduate of Victory High School and a 1981 graduate of West Virginia Business College. She was worked at the Maidenform factory and later at Jo Ann Fabric. She loved baking and sewing and was an artist as well. Mrs. Buckhannon was a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church.
