Brunswick – Charles Lane Zugalla, 74, of Oxford Road died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Earl H. Zugalla and Anne Stack Zugalla and husband of Anne Manley Zugalla. He was a lifelong resident of Troy and was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1963 and Hudson Valley Community College in 1965 for Business Management. 

Lane was a salesman for many years, beginning at Lusco Paper in 1969 and moving to office copier sales at Central Business Equipment for 15 years, Monroe Systems for 10 and later Ricoh Corporation, from which he retired in 2007.  

He was a member of the University Club, Troy Lions Club and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church Troy. He was a Sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Lane Joseph (Gina Couture) Zugalla, Troy and Bradley Earl (Sarah) Zugalla, Telluride, CO; a daughter, Elizabeth Anne (Benjamin) VonEitzen, North Greenbush; a sister, Andrea (Paul Pionessa) Sapone, Lancaster, NY; his former wife, Sharon Zugalla, North Greenbush; his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Manley, Troy; his brother-in-law, Paul Rapp, Troy; three grandchildren, Joel Braun and Bryce and Brynn VonEitzen and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Rapp.
