Irene D. Buscher, 87, of Aviston, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born March 23, 1927 in Aviston, daughter of Herman H. and Theresa “Bertha” (Stoff) Fuhler. She married Raymond H. Buscher on November 14, 1945 in Aviston and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2009.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Marilyn) Buscher of Aviston, David Buscher of Germantown, and James Buscher of Aviston; three grandchildren, Gina (Bart) Bleen, Byron Buscher, and Eric Buscher; four great-grandchildren, Mickinley, Brady, Bryar, and Piper Bleen; two sisters, Edna (Cyril “Tuffy”) Markus of Breese and Bernice “Becee” Foppe of Aviston; a brother, Donald (Jane) Fuhler of New Baden; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elmer “Buddy” Perkes of Breese, JoAnn Fuhler of Highland, Catherine Buscher of Aviston, and Dorothy Buscher of Breese.
In addition to parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Buscher; four sisters, Thelma “Timmy” Athmer, Jeanette Perkes, Viola “Ollie” Wellen, and Marie Albers; two brothers, Ralph Fuhler and Herman Joseph Fuhler, Jr; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cyril Athmer, Ray Foppe, August “Gus” Wellen, Clarence Albers, Herman Buscher, Regina & Frank Wesselmann, John Buscher, and Gregory Buscher; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard & Anna (Wermes) Buscher. Mrs. Buscher was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Parish and the American Legion Post 1239 Auxiliary in Aviston.
