Bula M. Lynd passed away January 15, 2015 at Good Samaritan Moscow Village. She was 93 years old. Bula was born September 3, 1921, in Palouse, Washington to Clyde and Nettie Jeffers. She was the second of four children – Lula Schultz, Arva Lee Miller and Ancel Jeffers. The family moved and lived briefly in western Washington before settling back in Palouse. Bula attended school in Snohomish, WA, Everett, WA and finished her schooling in Palouse. Bula married Frank Lynd in 1939 and they spent just shy of 75 years together. They began married life in Palouse and then settled in Troy, ID. They had two sons, Gary and Bob, who the couple raised on their farm outside of Troy. The young family enjoyed the occasional camp out that normally included fishing. Bula was what you call a home maker, but it was so much more. She was ever present on the farm working with Frank whether it be driving grain truck, hay truck, tending the array of farm animals or cooking the biggest “lunch” a person has ever seen for the hay hands. She was a great cook and enjoyed canning. She also had a soft spot for animals having many dogs and farm cats over her lifetime. Bula is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Jo Lynd of Troy, two grandchildren, Rusty (Dana) Lynd of Spokane and Peggy Lynd (Don) of Troy, four great-grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her son, Gary, and her siblings Lula, Arva Lee and Ancel. Bula was loved and will be greatly missed.
