Bruce J. Johnson passed away on April 16, 2012 in Indianapolis. He was born in Anderson on April 10, 1949 and was a 1967 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Bruce worked for over 35 years in law enforcement, most recently as a Sargeant with the Indianapolis Public Schools Police Department.
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He is survived by his daughter Pacha (John) Hogan of Sheridan; grandson Tyler Hogan of Sheridan; mother Ellen Ross of Fortville; sister Jill Cisek of Indianapolis; brother William Johnson of Indianapolis; sister Kathy Ross Carr of Noblesville; and sister Karen (Jim) Moffitt of Noblesville. He was preceded in death by his father William Johnson; “Pop” Edward Ross; and brother Dwain Ross.
