Bruce Alan Geisendorff, 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on December 28, 2022, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, surrounded by family.
Bruce was born in Indianapolis on August 16, 1950, to the late Maurice Sr. and the late Nancy (Myott) Geisendorff.
He was a 1969 graduate of Northwest High School. Bruce proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In the eighties he served in the Army National Guard. Bruce retired after 40 years in the grocery industry, working hard to provide for his family and to teach his children a strong work ethic.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Trudy (Hanft) Geisendorff; his two children Stephanie (Ryan) Shipp of Indianapolis and Jeremy (Jill) Geisendorff of Anderson; three grandchildren Drew, Ben, and Sam, all of Anderson; siblings Maurice (Peggy) Geisendorff Jr. and Duane Geisendorff; in-laws Dennis Owen, Lynn Scheetz, Paul and Kay Hanft, Dianne Zirnheld, Daron and Linda Gifford, Lydia and Tom Trotter, Lisa Hanft, and Brian and Marilyn Hanft; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by brother Eric Geisendorff, sister Lisa Owen, parents-in-law Clyde and Patricia Hanft, sister-in-law Mary Geisendorff, brother-in-law John Scheetz, brother-in-law Eddie Zirnheld, and sister-in-law Beverly Gifford.
