Bruce A. Scheidegger, 54, of Orland Park died Saturday February 9, 2013 in rural Carroll County.
Born July 31, 1958 in Cuba City, WI, he was the son of Charles and Audrey Scheidegger. He was a 1976 graduate of Chadwick High School, Iowa Western Community College, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois and his Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University. On October 27, 1984 he and Deb Sampson were united in marriage in Prophetstown. He taught and coached at Prophetstown High School, Dixon High School, Sterling High School and was currently the Athletic Director at Carl Sandberg High School in Orland Park. His memberships included the Trinity Lutheran Church of Tinley Park, Illinois Athletic Directors Association and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Surviving are his wife Deb of Orland Park, three daughters Samantha (John) Adamczyk of Chicago, Kristin (Kyle Ullmark) Scheidegger of De Kalb, Molly Scheidegger of Orland Park; father Charles Scheidegger of Freeport; two sisters Sherry (Carroll) Hayijenga of Baileyville, Lori (John) Scibona of Freeport; brother Brian (Nicki) Scheidegger of Dixon; mother and father-in-law Darrel and Glenda Sampson of Prophetstown; two brothers-in-law Bryan (Sue) Sampson of Bettendorf, IA, and Darwin (Annemarie) Sampson of Libertyville.
