Broadus Napoleon Bailey, 74, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in North Providence, RI. He was born in Kings Mountain, North Carolina on August 10, 1941, the third child of the late Annie B. (Shanks) Bailey and George Bailey. He was the loving husband of Mary A. (McCaskill) Bailey for 47 years.
Broadus leaves to mourn him, his widow Mary Bailey, 3 children, Cathy, Daryl and Francine. He was the grandfather of 8, Terri Wynn, Shante’ Johnson, Daryl Wright, Sharaine Johnson, Broadus N. Johnson, Daryl Johnson, Curtis Mitchell Jr and Zhane’ Bailey, 8 great-grandchildren, and his mother-in-law Ms. Helen Lipscomb and a host of other family members.
Other than his parents, Broadus was preceded in death by siblings Curlee Bailey and Magaline Bailey.
He worked at the R.I. Attorney General’s Office and also the Judiciary Building for over 10 years.
Broadus accepted the Lord Jesus Christ about 20 years ago, and the family can be at peace knowing he is in the arms of The Lord.
The family extends blessings to all that have taken time out of their busy schedules to spend time with them in the home going of Mr. Broadus N. Bailey.
