Brigitte A. Harris, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Sergeant James H. Harris, Sr. Born in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Schemed Andreas Eduard Ewald and Ilse Ruth Alix (Felke) Mansfeld.

Brigitte worked as a seamstress in various Sewing Factories and most recently at Moravian Academy in the kitchen for 15 years. One of her proudest accomplishments was a book she started writing over 40 years ago and published, when she was in her 80’s, titled “They Called us Nazi’s N****** and White Trash” about her life and growing up in Germany. Brigitte was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton. She loved her family and was influential in raising her grandchildren and will be missed by all she touched.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Ute Flanagan of Bath, Janis Frisby and her husband Greg of Houston, TX and Phyllis Martin of Easton; son James H. Harris, Jr. of Allentown; 9 grandchildren and many loving great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Brigitte was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Harris.
