Brian “Howdy” Wampler, age 43, of Lancaster, went on to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the OSU James Cancer Hospital.  He was born August 17, 1973 in Columbus, OH.  

Brian was a 1992 graduate of Marion Franklin High School and Northwest Career Center, where he received his certification in auto mechanics and small engine repair.  He was a former employee of Speedy Muffler Man, where he received his certification as an ASE auto mechanic.  He was also a former employee of Taylor Chevrolet in Lancaster, where he received his certification as a GM certified technician.

He gave his life to the Lord at 15 and lived his life singing and playing his guitar for God, and served as a deacon and trustee at Reese Community Baptist Church, where he had been a member since 1989.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Penny (Fairchild); he was an amazing father to Jonathan and David Wampler and Tyler (Stacey) Williamson.  He is also survived by his loving parents, Ike and Diane Wampler of Circlevile; sisters, Heather Roark and Katrina (DJ) Faiella; brothers, River Roark and Jon (Issa) Bialy; and numerous friends, family, and four-legged companions.  

Preceded in death by his grandparents Poppie and Mimmie Wampler, Grandma Bert, Virginia Bigler, and in-laws Curt and Opal Fairchild.
