MORRISVILLE – Brent J. Hicks, 85, of Morrisville (formally of Oxford NC) passed away on Saturday November 21 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 2, 1935 to the late Kenneth H. Hicks Sr. and Mamie Allen Jones.
He served in the Air force from 1952 to 1956. He worked for Eastern Airlines until health reasons required him to retire. He was a member of Sorrell Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School class and a trustee of the church.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Marshall Hicks, Raymond Hicks, Taylor Hicks, Travis Hicks, Homer Hicks, and sister Elma Partin.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Irene Hicks, daughter Lisa Hicks, granddaughter Jessica Badger, brother Carl (Linda) Hicks, sister Joyce Crowder, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a very special friend, Earl Ferrell, who he loved as a son.
