Brent Villemarette, 62, of Opelousas, formerly of Hessmer, passed away on August 28, 2021 at Opelousas General Hospital. He was the second son of Melvin & Octavia Villemarette. After graduating high school in 1977, he attended Louisiana College for his bachelor’s degree in social work.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tavia Villemarette; siblings, Bruce Villemarette (Debra) of Hessmer, Connie Dufour (Kenny) of Moreauville, and Andre Villemarette (Tina) of Hessmer. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Laura), Andrew, Devin, Olivia, and Emily; 3 great nieces and nephews; and his godchild, Kristen Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Villemarette.
