Mrs. Brenda Ruark Heminger, 69, of Maysville, Kentucky, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family and friends, on her birthday, January 4, 2017.
She was born in Millersburg, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Floyd Ruark, Jr. and Christine Leet Ruark.
Survivors include three children, Angela Crawford of Maysville, Christopher (Paula) Applegate of Maysville and Jamie (Terry) Applegate of Flemingsburg, four step-children, Mark (Rita) Heminger of Maysville, Gwen (Joey) Gallenstien of Maysville, Gayle (Pistol) Casselman of Jamestown, South Carolina and Glenda (Jerry) Qualls of Maysville, one brother, Wayne (Patty) Grimes of Ewing, grandchildren, Kacie (Corey) Brown, Zachary Crawford, Logan Gallenstien, Brooke Damron, Kristina Applegate, Katie Damron, Alisha Applegate, Jacob Applegate, Regina Swim and Kala Swim, one great-grandchild, Garett Brown and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold “Wink” Heminger, one brother, Gerald Grimes, a nephew, Pat Grimes, a grandchild, Brooklyn Heminger and her first husband, Harold Wayne Applegate.
