Dedicated Mama & Grammy, Brenda Jean Ford passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Newnan, Georgia. She was born to Cecil McMichael and Shelby Taylor McMichael on August 26, 1963 in Newnan, Georgia. A lifelong Newnan native, she graduated from Newnan High School in 1981. Soon thereafter, she began her 30 year career with the United States Postal Service where she made a second family out of her colleagues. With an infectious laugh and giving heart, she regularly touched the lives of any with whom she came in contact. Of all of her many accomplishments, she was most proud of her two daughters and granddaughter, cheering them on in all of their endeavors. She loved her entire family fiercely and treated her nieces and nephews as though they were her own. She was especially happy on any of her many adventures—traveling, boating & fishing, and motorcycling—with her soulmate, Reggie. With a heavy heart, she left this world to seek peace—all the while leaving this world better than how she found it. To know Brenda was to love her. She is survived by her loving soulmate, Mason “Reggie” Day; daughters: Stephanie Cecilia Ford and Kasey Jay (Robinson) Harvill along with son-in-law Andrew Mark Harvill, Jr. and granddaughter Shelby Eloise Harvill; mother Shelby McMichael, brother Dale McMichael, and sister Sheryl Seals; her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
