Brenda Darlene Mills, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, in the comfort of her own home.
Brenda was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 8, 1950 to Roy and Clara Parsley. After graduating high school, Brenda worked for the AFL-CIO Labor Newspaper as an Advertising Sales Representative for many years before retiring.
Family was the most important thing in the world to Brenda, she cherished her time with them.
Brenda was remarkable, she always thought of others. She was a long-time advocate for the homeless. Her compassion, kindness, and devotion to helping others was exemplary, and the world is a little worse off for her passing.
Brenda is survived by her children Shannon Fields of Mooresville, Shafter Mills Jr of Indianapolis, Shelley (Kenny) Allen of Indianapolis, Benjamin (Amanda) Mills of Indianapolis, Jonathan Mills of Indianapolis, and Nathan Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda is preceded in passing by her parents Roy and Clara Parsley; her brothers Roy “Butch” Parsley and Steven Parsley; grandson Michael Mills; and a geat-granddaughter Aubrey Henthorn.
