Breanna Nicole Jenkins age 9 of Marianna passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola after a hard fought battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Despite her illness Breanna was full of life and was a fighter throughout her extended hospital stays and multiple surgeries. She was born in Marianna and attended school here until she was home schooled because of her compromised immune system. She was an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Marianna Post. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother “Nana” Martha Jenkins and Great Grandparents Roy and Dorothy White. Breanna is survived by her mother Tiffanie Jenkins and loving step father Ron Bess of Marianna; Maternal Grandfather Richard “Pa Pa” Jenkins and wife, Glenda “GG” of Cottondale; her brothers, Skylar Adams and Aiden Adams of Marianna; Aunt and Uncle “Sissy” Stephanie Jenkins and Billy Gay of Alford, her father, Derek McKinnie of Cottonwood, AL, Paternal Grandfather Bill McKinnie of Marianna, Paternal Grandmother Carol Welch of Cottonwood, AL; Maternal Great Grandparents Joe and Vivian Jenkins of Cottondale; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family.
