After a two-year courageous battle with brain cancer, Brant was called home to be with our almighty Father.  Brant loved life and Jesus Christ.  He was known for his tireless efforts throughout his life, and always a joy to be around.

A graduate of Huffman High School, he also earned an Associate Degree from Lawson State Community College, Bachelors’ Degree in Theology from Samford University, and an MBA from Regis University.

He was a member of the Boy Scouts and at the age of 18 he earned the award of Eagle Scout.  An avid Auburn fan he enjoyed working with his father as a cinematographer for Auburn University.

Brant always chose to work in industries that provided help to others. He was a youth minister, a counselor for Easter Seals and at the age of 35 he began working in the field of Public Safety.

He had a 25-year career as a firefighter/paramedic and served for Birmingham, Irondale, Lincoln, Warrior, and Chelsea Fire Departments.  He was a CPR instructor for 18 years and the Program Manager for the CERT Program for ten years.

He enjoyed participating in athletic events, and even when he was going through cancer treatment, he completed several 5k and 10k races.  His determination, perseverance and commitment will always be remembered.  A true Christian man, he always gave credit to the Lord Jesus Christ for his accomplishments.

He is preceded in death by Grandparents, his father Lewis Bice Jr., survived by his loving mother, Dianne Bice, the love of his life, Catherine, brother Lewis “Buddy” Bice III, sister, Cindy Nicholson (Rick), daughter, Sarah Violet Bice, stepson Matthew Drolet, and a multitude of family and friends.
