Brewer, Boyd Richard ‘Red’ Sr. of Marlboro, entered into rest Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 87. Born March 31, 1928 in Belmont, NC, he was the son of the late John and Frances Robinson Brewer. Boyd was retired Iron Worker with Local 417, Newburgh, he was a member of the Marlboro Seniors. Survivors include: five children, Donald of NJ, Wayne of TX, Boyd Jr., (Cathy) of Newburgh, Kevin of TX and Bruce of Montgomery, three sisters, Irene Kirby of NC, Johnnie May Woodruff of FL, Barbara O’Dell of NC, one brother, Billy Brewer of NC, seven grandchildren, Juanita, Sandra, Audrey, Jessica, Donnie, Christopher and Cassandra, as well as great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Beanie Gigglia for the care given to their father.
