Booker T. Shead earned his wings and joined the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Otterbein Senior Life Community. Booker was born in Albany, Georgia to Carey Shead and Bertha Shead. Later, mitigated to Columbus, Ohio in 1955 with his family, Annie Sheard, Marvin Sheard and Kathleen Sheard-Tucker. Born to the union as a Buckeye – Tammie Sheard-Arnold.
Booker loved and cherished his three children, Marvin (Patricia) Sheard; Kathleen Sheard-Tucker; Tammie (John) Arnold and his long-time church home, Gospel Tabernacle Church-pastored by Bishop J. Derrick Johnson.
Booker was much into special projects. Known as a craftsman at heart; owning every tool imaginable. Creativity was his instruction manual when starting and completing the projects to its’ conclusions.
Booker was proceeded in death by his mother, Bertha Shead and father, Carey Shead; his sisters Mary Smith and Betty Shead; his brothers, Carey Jr. and Johnny Shead.
Booker will be greatly missed by his son Marvin (Patricia) Sheard; Daughters, Kathleen Tucker and Tammie (John) Arnold; Grand Childrens, Olivia, Johnny, Adrianna, Quincy, Ophelia, Charisma, Nia, Shakiya, and James. Booker will truly be missed and leaves behind a host of Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
