Bonnie Sweany Campbell, 85, of Salem, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday July 22, 2016 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Charles and Wilma (Buford) Sweany.
Bonnie worked on the Assembly Line at General Motors in Lordstown, where she retired in 1993.
Her husband Dean R. Campbell, whom she married December 27, 1982, preceded her in death April 3, 2016.
She is survived by one son, Tim Tamati of Salem; one daughter, Sharon (Ernie) Parrish of Salem; one step-son, David (Tracy) Campbell of Streetsboro; three step-daughters, Debbie (Tom) Macaulay of Monaca, Pennslyvania, Janet (Bill) Menteer of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Tina (Howie) Koch of Baden, Pennsylvania; one sister, Barbara Diamond of Salem; one granddaughter, Terrin Tamati of Holland; seven step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim Sweany; and one sister, Betty McDaniel.
