Bonnie Maxine Lowe, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Bonnie was born April 5, 1930, by a midwife, in Downey, Idaho, to Clifford Georgeson Clements and Maurine Bybee Clements. She grew up in Idaho Falls, New Sweden, Lincoln and graduated from Ammon High School.
Bonnie met the love of her life, Leon, in the fifth grade, but they didn’t begin dating until after high school. Their first date was July 1948, and they were engaged soon after in September 1948. They were married January 20, 1949, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in January 1998.
Five children were born to this union, Susan, Carolynn, Debbie, Darryl and Randy. Eventually, their family grew to 20 grandkids and 31 great grandkids.
Bonnie held many retail jobs, but she finished her career as a tax collector clerk in the Bonneville County Treasurer’s Office.
