Bonnie Ann Hollern passed away at 68 with family by her side Thursday, March 24, 2022, after a years-long battle with cancer. She was born April 1, 1953, in Lansing, MI daughter of the late Ernest and JoAnn (Woolston) Snyder. Bonnie graduated top 10 in the class of 1971 from Holt High School then went on to attend Alma College. She married Charlie Hollern May 31, 1974, before welcoming two daughters.

Bonnie was a loving and caring stay at home mom while Sara and Missy were growing up and very involved in every aspect of their lives. Her faith was a central part of her life and she spent 9 years as the Director of Religious Education for Saints Cornelius and Cyprian Catholic Church.

Bonnie went on to work as a receptionist for a chiropractor and a few different ophthalmologist offices before retiring when she became a grandma. Bonnie loved spending time and talking with family & friends. Whatever she could do to bring happiness to others was her priority. Everyone can agree she had the best smile, genuine kindness & the biggest heart. Being a mother & grandmother was her greatest joy and she will be greatly missed.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, just six months prior. Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Sara (Kevin Raber) Hollern and Missy (Joe) Shepherd; grandson, Charlie Shepherd; brother, Tom (Christine) Snyder; several sisters- and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
