Bonnae Canady Williams, 95, of Reidsville, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday evening December 8, 2016 with her family by her side.
A native of Rockingham County , she was the daughter of the late Russel B. and Ruth McAlister Canady and spent her entire life in Rockingham County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Charles Raine Williams, Jr., who passed away in 1999, and a brother: William Mack Canady.
She spent most of her career in the banking industry working for Mutual Savings and Loan and later for First National Bank. When she was not working, Bonnae enjoyed traveling to the mountains and playing bridge.
Bonnae was an active charter member of Woodmont United Methodist Church where she participated in the choir. She was an amazing cook and the family looked forward to having Sunday lunch together. She always baked 2 pecan pies to ensure there was enough to go around. Many of her recipes have been passed down through the generations.
Bonnae is survived by her daughter: Ruth Williams Dodson, granddaughter: Sarah Thompson, and grandson: Chris Cobb all of Reidsville, NC, her son: Mark Charles Williams and wife Lori, granddaughter: Lauren Frank and husband James all of Holly Springs, NC, and grandson: Michael Williams of Wilmington, NC. She was also a great grandmother to Hayden, Connor, Ryan and Mason .
