Bobby TD. Thompson, age 79, of Campbell Branch Road, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

 

Born October 11, 1942, in Morehead, he was the son of the late John R. Thompson and Flo Ella White Thompson. 

 

Bobby is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Robbins) Thompson; five children, John Thompson of Frankfort, Timothy “Hobie” Thompson of Morehead, Matthew Thompson of Carter County, Jennifer Thompson Tuel and Justina Thompson, both of Flemingsburg; nine grandchildren, Dustin, Windy, Gavin, Grace, Kendyll, Jemma, Koleton, Elijah, and Luke; and six great grandchildren, Natania, Collin, Isaac, Seely, Ethan, and Remi.

 

Other survivors include two sisters, Patty Riley of Morehead and Sharri Owens of Georgetown; one brother, Jeffery “Bo” Thompson of Maysville; and extended family and friends.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Thompson. 

 

Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime collector of antiques, and a general contractor.  He was the inspiration and motivation behind Thompson Construction and delighted in locating unique antiques for his business, Cobwebs and Rust in Farmers.  A spiritual man, he was the patriarch of the family, and most of all, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
