Bobby Ray Eason, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina and raised on a tobacco farm.  Served in the US Marine Corp in Japan and Camp Lejeune, NC. Graduated North Carolina State University and attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska.  Married the love of his life, Peggy Jordan Cary, who preceded him in death in 2002; he’ll be buried by her side in Wilson, North Carolina where she awaits him “under her favorite tree”.  He is also preceded in death by his parents, Edward F. Eason and Mary (Maye) Edith Price along with his siblings Donald Eason, Betty Jean Eason and Frank Eason.  Raised three sons on Indian Reservations where he worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs; from Montana to Arizona to New Mexico.  All three sons are graduates of New Mexico State University, each with degrees in Chemical Engineering.  Retired from Washington, DC to Goldsboro, NC before moving to Albuquerque, NM.  Bobby is survived by his three sons, Steven in New Mexico, Tim in Indiana and Eric in Texas; their wives Linda, Kathy A. and Kathy E.  Bobby has eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. “One of the smartest and most honest men we’ve ever known”, his three boys.
