Bobby Ray “Bob” Tallman, 86 of Huntsville, passed away Friday December 31, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born April 3, 1935 at Ethel, MO to the union of John Blythe and Bessie (Cassity) Tallman.
Bob attended school at Linneus, MO. His first job was wheat harvesting with his brother Bill in the state of Kansas. Later Bob and his brother farmed north of Clifton Hill. He later worked until retirement for Jack Simpson Construction Co. of Paris, as a crane and heavy equipment operator. In his retirement years, he was content to own and manage the Tallman Trailer Park in Huntsville. In Bob’s later years, you could find him riding in the neighborhood on his golf cart, and sometimes on his backhoe, and was always happy to use it to help someone with a small job. Bob also loved to do welding in his free time. The love of his day was going to Moberly every morning to drink coffee with his coffee buddies, and sometimes going back in the afternoon for more coffee and fellowship.
In 1955 he married Betty Kilgore, and to that union are three surviving children, Debra M Elliott of the state of Washington, Keith Tallman and his wife Debbie, Randy Tallman and his wife Faith, all of Huntsville, also surviving are his grandchildren Brooke, Brandon, Jaime, Kalee and Shena, 11 great grandchildren, a brother Richard D. Tallman and his wife Doris of Huntsville, a sister Sondra Mason of Hale, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bill, half-brother Leroy, a half-sister Pauline (Tallman) Curry and a brother-in-law Bob Mason. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Clifton Hill Baptist Church or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
