Bobby Edward Beasley, devoted husband, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, of Lonoke, AR passed away April 3, 2014 at the age of 77. He was born in Nocona, TX on January 9, 1937 to parents Clyde and Dorothy Beasley. He graduated from Nocona High School and received a degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. He married Patsy Davidson Beasley on May 30, 1957.
Bob was an active member of Lonoke Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He served as an Area Director and held other local positions for Gideon International. Bob was a long time member of The Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid sports fan for The Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks, but his favorite teams were always the ones his kids and grandkids played on. Bob’s biggest accomplishment was the support that he gave his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patsy; his sister Reba Meeks of Nocona, TX; his children, Sheila McCain (Mark) of Buford, GA; Nancy Canon (David) of Little Rock, AR; and Lana Grober (Mike) of Little Rock, AR. He was the proud grandfather to 9: Jennifer Littig (Will), Shannon Soller (Chris), Christy Cockfield (Nathan), Kelly Holder (Hudson), Matt Herman, Zane Grober, Gavin Grober, Carolina Grober, and Michael Grober (Charlene). He was extremely proud of his 7 great-grandchildren: Addison & Zoey Soller, Mason & Savannah Littig, Anna Claire Cockfield, John Michael and Gabriel Grober.
