Life’s Journey

Bobby Don Randell

To plant a seed in one’s heart…to root it in love…

To nourish it with time spent together…

Yields a blossom that will flourish forever.

Bobby Don Randell was born on April 21, 1949, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, D.C. Randell and Linger Nell Nettles Randell.  He was raised surrounded by his brothers, David, Michael, and Norman. He received his early education in Denver, where he attended Mitchell Elementary School, Cole Jr. High School, and graduated from Manual High School.  He furthered his education by attending Colorado University at Boulder.

Bobby was a man who had high aspiration in life.  He aspired to become a lawyer, senator, or politician.  He instead, devoted his life to his family.  They owned “The House of Barbeque” located in Denver.  He poured his heart and soul into the restaurant alongside of his parents.  He did so until his parent’s health began to decline.

He later became the primary caregiver of his mother, Linger Nell Randell.  He sacrificed everything to care for his mother.  His love for her was unconditional and never ending.  In her eyes he was her hero, and in his eyes, she was his shero.

Bobby will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man.  To know Bobby was to love him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linger Nell Randell; his father, D.C. Randell; and  a  brother, Norman Kent Randell.

Bobby Don Randell departed this life on June 8, 2022, in Englewood, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Bobby Norman Randell; 2 brothers, David Joe Randell (Shonna Randell), and Michael (Bo) Randell (Denise Randell); 2 grandchildren, Zakiya A. Randell and Kahleanna Burton; his devoted cousin, Lachelle Shambe (Abdul Shambe); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other cousins, other relatives and many friends.
