Bobby D. Dowdy, 38, of Roggen, passed away on April 2, 2012 in Denver. He was born September 14, 1973 in Denver, CO. He graduated from Weld Central High School in 1992 where he participated in basketball and track. Beginning at the age of 7 until he was 16, he played baseball in New Castle, WY.
He worked for the Lower Boulder Ditch Company as a Ditch Rider for the last 18 years. Bobby loved the outdoors. Snowmobiling, water skiing, fishing, hunting, riding his dune buggy, four-wheelers and motorcycles were among his favorite activities. He was the hunter that could always find the deer when no one else could find them. He loved his dogs and he enjoyed working on the family farms.
Bobby is survived by his mother and step-father, Sallie and Bill Linnebur of Roggen; father, Rick Dowdy of Sheridan, WY; sisters, Danette Dowdy-Hill of Casper, WY, and Sarah Hebert of Haddens, LA; brother, Mitch Hebert of Lake Charles, LA; daughters, Terra and Ashlynn Dowdy of Roggen.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Hebert and grandfather, Lyle Smith.
