Bobby “Bob” G. Reed, 88, of Anderson, passed away on June 19, 2017 at Lindberg Crossing.

He was born on February 21, 1929 in Elwood, where he grew up and graduated from Wendell Wilkie High School. Bob was a tool and die engineer for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors and retired in 1984 after 34 years of service.

In retirement Bob moved to Naples, Florida where he owned and operated a franchise business and was later instrumental in establishing a residential coop community for active senior living, Holiday Manor Coop. He was also a founding partner in the Pelican Creek Investment Group, a real estate holding corporation.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Barbara Reed of Anderson; children, Sherry Cain of Anderson; Michelle Marquand of Phoenix; Andy Reed of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thursa Lou Reed; daughters, Christine Wooldridge, Mary Kay Talbert, and Teresa Garrison; mother, Nettie Reed; father, James Reed; brother, James Reed; and sister, Annetta Watson.
