Bobbi Jo Long, 60, of Terre Haute passed away Friday March 14, 2014 in Regional Hospital. Bobbi was born April 17, 1953 in Terre Haute to Hugh and Irene Simmons Edington. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister; Helen Edington. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Long I, one son, Mark Long II and his wife Christina of Terre Haute, one daughter, Sarah Jo Long of Terre Haute; two brothers, DwaineEdington of Knightstown, IN and James “Jimmy” Edingtonof Terre Haute; three sisters, Beverly Wallace of Hillsdale, IN, Claudia Bernice Morrow of Terre Haute, and Chirl West of Clinton, IN, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bobbi was passionate about her interests, especially her dear pets and animals of any sort. She was also an avid photographer. Over the years her photos have seen the walls of the Swope, the cover of Parade magazine, and countless homes of family and friends. One of her great joys was music, and she couldflat-out cut a rug. Bobbi faced many health problems, but remained driven by her relentless optimism, love for her family, and resilient personality; Bobbi could see blue skies even on a cloudy day. She had a tremendous sense of humor, including a spot-on impression of Porky the Pig that has possibly been heard at a local drive-thru window or two; a suspicion her family can neither confirm nor deny. Above all, Bobbi was a sweet, loving, gentle soul who will be missed dearly.
