Bobbie Gay Carmical 1933-2016
On Sunday, December 11th, after a short illness our beloved Bobbie went on to a better place.
Born in Comanche Oklahoma, Bobbie came to California at age 11 and stayed in Taft the next 72 years, marrying her sweetheart Kent Carmical who preceded her in death at too young an age. She is survived by daughter Kelley and a son, also named Kent.
Bobbie also leaves behind her sisters Kay, Jett and Jann as well as her faithful dog Philo. Her sister Rita and brother Jimmy sadly shuffled off this mortal coil before her.
Bobbie worked many jobs in her long lifea”Honolulu Oil Company and Standard Oil as well as retiring from the West Kern County Water District. Bobbie loved Billy Graham, stray animals and country gospel music to name a few, but hated sushi and Daylight Saving Timea”she wanted everyone to get back on the Lord’s Time.
