Bobbie “Bob” W. Leary, 80, Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on August 13, 1941 in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late Amos Leary and Linnie (Lingea) Leary Winot.
Bob served his country in the United States Army. He served the City of Indianapolis and Marion County for 36 years, retiring in 2002 as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Indianapolis Police Department, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. He also was a truck driver with Monarch Beverage for 30 years, retiring in 2020.

Bob is survived by his wife, Susan P. (Allen) Leary, whom he married on May 5, 1967; son, Jerry M. (Heather) Leary of Indianapolis; daughters, Bobbi Lynn (Keith) Leary of Danville, Christine E. (Mike) O’Day of Avon and Catherine S. Leary of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Justin M. (Megan) Leary, Joshua A. (Genna) Klein, Madeline R. O’Day, Sarah E. O’Day, Caden Leary, Briley Leary, Avryn Leary, Maevyn Leary and Eagen Leary; great-grandchildren, Beatrice Leary and Theodore Leary; several brothers and sisters.
