Bob (Bogdan) Vunovich
Bob (Bogdan) Vunovich, beloved husband, brother, stepfather, uncle, and friends to many, passed away peacefully at his home in Lakewood Colorado on January 24th, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Stojanka Djukanovic, his brother George (Chub) Vunovich, stepson Harry Ciruli Jr., step grandson Kevin Ciruli, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife Margaret (Margita) Vunovich, parents Stanisha (Stan) and Sophia Vunovich, sister Mildred (Al) Giaccio, and brothers Steven (Mary Rose) Chubrillo and Milan (Lorna) Chubrillo. Born in Pueblo Colorado on August 25, 1932, Bob enlisted in the Navy and after serving four years, as a Yeoman, he returned to Colorado. Bob’s academic career began as a teacher at Keeting Jr. High School (Pueblo), and later as a teacher/administrator at Southern Colorado State College (Pueblo). Bob went on complete his graduate studies and was ABD (All But Degree) with a PhD in Statistics. He worked until retirement with the Department of Energy in Washington D.C..
