Robert N. “Bob” Maltimore, 64, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Prairie Village Healthcare Center.

He was born July 20, 1950, in White Hall, the son of Dora Easter Maltimore. He married Virginia “Ginger” Talkington on April 5, 1975, in Roodhouse, and she preceded him in death on May 17, 2008.

He is survived by three daughters and one son, Elizabeth Hardwick and Rita (John) Sechrest, both of Mountain View, MO, Eric (Renee) Maltimore of Sandusky, OH, and Lisa (Nathan) McEvers of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, Raymond Daiker (Carmen Barton) of Roodhouse, Jonathan, William and Wayne Sechrest, all of Mountain View, MO, and Brooke, Bailey, Alyssa and Tyler McEvers, all of Jacksonville; and five great-grandchildren, Raymond, Charlie, Wesley, Presley and Paisley Daiker, all of Roodhouse.

Mr. Maltimore was an over-the-road truck driver, and most recently had driven for Airborne Express in Springfield, before retiring due to his health. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bob enjoyed cars, demolition derbies, NASCAR and classic cars. He especially loved being with his family.
