Bob L. Lowe, 78, Anderson, passed away August 1, 2011 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1933 in Anderson, and resided in Anderson.

Bob served his country in the military police for the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Bob played basketball in the Army, playing against the Globetrotters, Boston Whirlwinds and Washington Generals. He was picked #1 All Star to play at Fort Reiley, Kansas in the All 5th Army Tourney. He retired in August of 1993 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after over 40 years of service in plant protection. He also worked for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and Hoosier Park Security.

He is survived by his daughter, Jan Sutton Kent of Pendleton; son, Gary Lowe Stephen Roberts of Orlando, Florida; two grandchildren, Matt Sutton and Karly Sutton of Pendleton; step-daughter, Amy Hughes Mike of Frankton; sister-in-law, Judy Lowe of Markleville; niece, Sandy Osenbaugh Gary of Markleville and nephew, John Lowe Nancy of Pendleton.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Tyner F. & Thelma Copeland Lowe and brother, Carl E. Lowe.
