Blanche April “Sissy” McPherson, age 67, of Salem, died at 3:49 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1947 in Salineville, Ohio to the late Floyd and Alta (Smith) Martin Sr. She was a housewife and a Methodist by faith. She is survived by her husband James H. McPherson, whom she married December 27, 1997; her mother, Alta Martin of Salineville, Ohio; one son Gary Wright of East Liverpool; two daughters, Lori (Richard) Griffin of East Liverpool, April Taylor of Salem; one sister, Kitty (Rod) Hart of Guilford Lake; one brother, Randy Martin of Salineville; three grandchildren, Michael Howard, Billy Griffin and Conner Clever. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd “Fat” Martin Sr., two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Keith Martin, one sister, Sherry Call, and one nephew, Michael Martin.
