DURHAM- Mr. Billy Joe “BJ” Hildebran, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Duke Regional . Hildebran was born July 23, 1936 to the late Ermon and Mary Hildebran in Hickory, NC. Mr. Hildebran proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard as a CW2 for over 16 years. He owned and operated BJ’s Carpets and Hildebran Motors. Mr. Hildebran was a charter member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. He was a member of the Fred Carpenter Sunday School Class. Mr. Hildebran was a founding member of Lynns Cross Road Ruritan Club and he was a member of McDonalds Coffee Group. Loved golf and . Hildebran is survived by his wife married for 60 years as of October, Barbara Oakley Hildebran of Durham, NC; daughters, Gina Mitchell (Jeff) of Fayetteville, NC, Janna Hildebran of Durham, NC; sister, Andrea Robertson (Alvin) of Durham, NC; sister-in-law, Grace Perry Oakley of Durham, NC; grandson, Kyle of Fayetteville, NC. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alvin Robertson.m.m. Damon Williamson.
