Billy Gerald Noel, 75, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday March 12, 2014 in Regional Hospital. Billy was born July 24, 1938 in West Terre Haute to Gerald Vern and Grace Irene Swickerd Noel. He had been in the roofing industry for many years. He was an honorably discharged member of the United States Army, and was also a member of the Moose Lodge where he had served as a past Jr. Governor. He enjoyed going to garage sales, and drinking coffee at coffee shops with friends where he told many stories. Billy was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son; Billy Noel Jr. He is survived by his wife; Cheryl Edmonson Noel, six sons; Dennis Blankenship of Greenville, Todd Curtis of Russellville, Charles Curtis of Rockville, William Noel and his wife Crystal of Terre Haute, Wayne Noel and his wife Rebecca of Terre Haute, and James Noel and his wife Tiffany of Franklin Kentucky, three daughters; Bridget Rost of Terre Haute, Gidget Curtis of Paris, Illinois, and Kelly Rose Noel of Terre Haute, two brothers; Jack Noel of Chicago, Illinois, and Jerry Noel of Wyoming. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, as well as many other friends, family, and loved ones.
