Billy G. Herkomer, 62, Anderson, died March 27, 2004 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.
He was born March 9, 1942 in Anderson, Indiana, and was a lifelong Anderson resident. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors, Plant 11 after 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the UAW Local #662.
He collected Hotwheels and was an avid painter. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen A. Imel Herkomer; two daughters, Michelle Herkomer & special friend Randy McCune Jr. and JaNell Herkomer both of Anderson; a son, William Herkomer of Anderson; a brother, David & wife Norma Herkomer of Oregon; four grandchildren, Crystal Herkomer, Corey Smith, Michaela McManama and Ashley Upshaw; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bob Page, Tim Bennett and Ron Scott; a very special young lady, Amanda McIntyre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Laura Farmer Herkomer and two half-brothers, Robert Halford and Marvin Herkomer.
