Billy Wayne Lamon , better known as Bill, of Booneville, Arkansas, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Bill was born on May 10, 1934 in Casper, Wyoming to Rev. A.D. Lamon and Mary Ellen (Henry) Lamon. He was a member of the Waldron Church of the Nazarene.

Bill and his family moved to West Plains, Missouri where he graduated from high school. He started his police career in Salina, Kansas and then moved to Shawnee, Kansas where he retired in 1988 after 27 years in law enforcement. He served as a patrolman, a corporal, and a sergeant. He was a detective and served as a member of the Kansas City Metro Squad as well as a team leader of the Shawnee Police Dept. SWAT team. In his later years, Billy enjoyed a good game of golf.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Doris Lamon of Booneville, Arkansas, one son, Michael Lamon of Oregon, daughters: Susan and Pamela of California, Kelly Young and husband James of Booneville, Arkansas as well as his grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Mary Lamon, one daughter Daphne Boomer, and one sister, Peggy Davidson.
