Heaven received a true angel as our mother passed away on August 24, 2015 peacefully surrounded by her family. Billie Jeanne (BJ) Eckles, 83, was the family matriarch and incredible example of how to live life to the fullest. She loved her Lord, her family, and as much attention as she could garner. BJ had a beautiful voice and was at home performing for others. She loved her Belles and Beaux gang who performed for so many and was a superstar at her annual Senior Follies show. BJ adored her family, and taught her grandchildren that loving others was the key to life. Her wit, charm and talents were displayed every day, and have been passed on to her precious grandchildren. Billie Jeanne was a member of the Jazz Society of Pensacola, Over 55 Club and Daughters of the Nile.
