BJ loved going to Greenridge, The Potomac River, and other fishing basins to camp and fish with his friends. He also enjoyed barbecuing on the grill.
Besides his father, he is survived by his stepmother Lisa Whitmore; son Cole; daughter Skye; sister Dawn Whitmore; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by maternal grandparents Bub and Mary Long.
